WCPO 9 Cincinnati App Reviews

When did this change? Why would I want to pay for a subscription when I can use other news stations apps for free? Another disappointment added to the list when it comes to Channel 9.

ITS FREE. What you pay for is different than what you get for free on other sites (all that is free on WCPO too). They have always done the best job at news in Cincinnati, and $20 a year for all the extra content AND the discounts/tickets/rewards etc..... Its a steal.

Dear Scripps, I can multitask just fine; aka read news and listen to music. Theres no need to kill my iTunes, Pandora, Sirius, etc when I launch the app. Peace and love.

The news articles marked with a "+" are for subscribers only. These are increasing. This business model is not for me! Audios!

Why would I want to pay to read news that I can get elsewhere for free?

There are other news apps that dont make you pay for more than half the articles like this one.

Best Cincinnati news app- easy to use!

News comes superquick! While some content is paid I understand that is content you cant find anywhere else and it is worth the money! Love how all of the breaking news, weather, traffic is still free.

This app has the best alerts of all the Cincinnati news outlets. They consistently send out information on major closed roads, big announcements, some sports news and weather alerts. Some stories have a paywall (which isnt that expensive) but most are still free. Its still a really useful app.

The app looks great until you realize most of the stories you have to pay a monthly fee. If 9 was on our side they would not make us pay for the stories.

Yes it has some stories that are free but I recommend getting another local news app. This one requires you to become a subscriber in order to view many of the stories. And the subscription is not cheap...$80/yr!

This app may as well be spam. Its riddled with ads at every turn. Not a fan at all.

Great update. Love the new layout and weather is much better now.

In the old version you could see several headlines at once. Now you have to scroll way too much to see the different articles. Why make the article headlines so big if its gonna be 75% white space?

Too many ads. Life is too short for bad apps. Deleted it.

Im not a fan of the new version. You cant see as many headlines. It was also nice to open the app and have the current temperature displayed in the top right corner.

All messed up!! Lets update the app and make it more difficult for the readers to use... Sometimes different isnt always better. Ill just switch over to wkrc12 app instead. Sorry, really liked the old format.

Horrible design....smashed and bombarded with ads...you have to scroll way too much to see articles. Such a sad attempt....
