WCPO 9 Cincinnati App Reviews

Ive been using this app for reliable local news since I moved to Cincinnati 3 years ago, and have loved it. However, I was dismayed to open it after the recent update and realize that I could no longer navigate easily, select a category or find anything I was looking for. This "update" was a HUGE step backward, in my opinion. Let me easily pick categories! I dont care what you think is important for me to know - Im pretty capable of figuring that out on my own. Ugh. If this doesnt get fixed, Ill likely be forced to look for a different source of information.

I would use it more but all the good stories you have to subscribe. No other news app makes you pay.

You need to be a subscriber and pay to read many of the stories. What aggravates me most is the news stories about people who need help/funding/financial support, but you cant find out how to help them unless you pay WCPO first. Seems greedy of WCPO to me.

The latest bug fix for stability did not work on my phone. As you scroll through news stories the items jump up and down as if they are doing jumping jacks. Please redo the stability problem. AC

App loads stories, app crashes as soon as I tap to read a story. Running latest iOS. Tried re-installing and no luck.

Have the latest version IOS. Since they changed the format or layout of their news pages, there are too many bugs. Could no longer put up with it crashing, jumping back paragraphs as I would try to read. Too many ads uninstalled after 5 yrs or so of using it to get my local news

Deleted app. Crashed too many times and now after downloading latest iOS it wont open

Full disclaimer: I am a paying Insider because it was $19.99 for one year and Ive already been to two free movie screenings and got free tickets to Journey at Riverbend. This app is all I need for Cincinnati news. It is part of my daily routine and there are no ads for insiders.

This is the best news source for Cincinnati. App is great and the stories are so much better than the rest!

The app is easy to use. WCPO delivers on current relevant news and has many interactive features. You can watch videos from newscasts. If you become a WCPO Insider, you can add comments and share news in your neighborhood.

The app is easy to use. The stories draw you in..... Then you find out it will cost money to actually read the stories. I had the wcpo app when it first came out and I find it disappointing that I have to remove it because it is useless unless I pay for the news. Shame on you wcpo. I guess I need to find a new app for Cincinnati news.. :(
